Singer, conductor and singing teacher. Master in Teaching Musical Practices at UNIRIO, postgraduate degree in Music Therapy at the Brazilian Conservatory of Music, Bachelor of Brazilian Popular Music at UNIRIO, postgraduate degree in Vocal Pedagogy at FASM, degree in Music at Universidade Cândido Mendes and Motor Recovery technique and Therapy through dance by the Angel Vianna school.

 

Maíra teaches brazilian singing in her private studio since 2000, and works as vocal coach in the independent choir Ordinariuzão, produced by the vocal group Ordinarius since 2020. She also worked as regular music teacher and choir conductor in Escola Sá Pereira (2011-2017), Colégio Cruzeiro (2014-16) and as voice teacher in the professional theater course in SENAC (2002-2006). Maíra also participated in several choirs as an assistant to the conductor Paulo Malaguti Pauleira: Coral Fiocruz (2001-2007), Coral Finep (2006-2013) and Coral Previ (2010-2015).

She is part of the Ordinarius and CRIA groups. With these works, he has already traveled all over Brazil performing shows in spaces such as Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro (Grupo CRIA), Sala Cecília Meireles (Group CRIA), Teatro Porto Seguro (Ordinarius), Itaú Cultural de São Paulo (Group CRIA), Caixa Cultural de Curitiba (CRIA Group), Amazonas Theater (Ordinarius), Niterói Municipal Theater (Ordinarius), Blue Note Rio (CRIA Group), SESC SP Circuit (Ordinarius), SESC RJ Circuit (CRIA Group), among others. She has performed abroad with Ordinarius, traveling with the group to Germany, Switzerland, Paraguay, Panama, France, Japan, Spain and the USA.

Released the CDs: "Nós", "Pizindim" (Ordinarius, 2023), "Blanc" (Ordinarius, 2022) "Bossa 20" (Ordinarius, 2021), "Paralelas" (Ordinarius, 2020), "Pra Bagunçar" (CRIA Group, 2018) , "Notável" (Ordinarius, 2017), "Rio de Choro" (Ordinarius, 2015), "A Família" (CRIA Group, 2013), "Ordinarius", (Ordinarius, 2012) ,"Circular" (Magu Project, 2012), “Outro Céu” (Maíra Martins, 2012), “Processo de Feitura” (Maíra Martins, 2006), and “Um Gosto de Sol” (Grupo Equale, 2004). She made several solo recordings for the compilations “Relaxing bossa far vol. 12”, “I love bossa nova”, “Bossa Project 80´s”, “Rock bossa” and others, all released abroad. As a member of the Ordinarius group, she received the Professional Music Award in the Best Vocal Group category (2018). With the CDs "A Família" and "Notável" she received nominations for the Brazilian Music Award (2015 and 2018).
