Ordinarius is a group that uses voices as their main instruments and percussion as the perfect complement, with Brazilianness in its various forms as their musical language and Augusto Ordine's original vocal arrangements as their guiding thread.
With eighteen years on the road, the ensemble has toured several Brazilian states and more than a dozen countries in Europe, Latin America, North America, and Asia, bringing the repertoire of its various projects to festivals and tours.
The Choro from Rio de Janeiro, Pixinguinha, Carmen Miranda, Aldir Blanc, compositions by women, Bossa Nova, and even original songs by the group's members were some of the themes explored, and the album Brasuca is the group's first foray into a repertoire of contemporary composers of various styles, covering all regions of the country.
The sextet is formed by Antonia Medeiros, Augusto Ordine, Beatriz Coimbra, Fabiano Salek, Maíra Martins, and Matias Correa, with Augusto as musical director and arranger and Maíra as the group's executive producer.
